Baidu

What is Baidu?

Baidu is the Chinese equivalent of Google — in other words, a search engine. Baidu is generally very similar to Google, but its primary focus is on the Chinese market, whereas Google has a broad focus on the entire world. Baidu is the fourth most visited website in the world, according to Alexa Internet Rankings.

Baidu is the largest search engine in the Chinese market and has a technological advantage over Google, as it generally has a better understanding of the Chinese language, where it is not uncommon, for example, for a single word to have two very different meanings.

Who owns Baidu?

Baidu is owned by the Chinese company of the same name, which is owned by the two Chinese businessmen Robin Li and Eric Xu.
