What is Jubii?
Jubii is the first Danish search engine, invented in 1995. Throughout the 2000s, Jubii was one of the largest internet portals in Denmark.
As the market evolved and higher demands were placed on technology and more, Jubii's scale as a search engine has diminished. Today, Jubii maintains directories in addition to its still-existing search engine: https://jubii.dk/.
That said, Jubii today does not hold a dominant position in the search engine market — neither in Denmark nor globally.
Who owns Jubii?
Jubii was launched in 1995 with references to around 200 Danish websites. Today, Jubii is owned by Nordjyske Medier. Over the years, Jubii has been owned by 5 different individuals and companies.
Who invented Jubii?
Jubii was started and invented by Jakob Faarvang on 31 July 1995 and was later taken over by Cybernet founders Martin Thorborg, Kasper Larsen, Henrik Sørensen and Andreas Jürgensen. Jubii initially referenced 200 Danish websites.
