Meet Kasper Mathiesen: 1 Year as Senior Business Developer at Searchmind

1. juli 2026 Searchmind

Some find their way home – with new skills in their arsenal. Kasper Mathiesen has returned to Searchmind as Senior Business Developer, where he identifies companies based on their digital potential and shows them where they can grow – and which opportunities they are not yet fully leveraging. We are delighted to have him back, and he has now completed his first year in the house again.

The good conversation that brought him home

What was the reason you chose to return "home" to Searchmind, and has it lived up to your expectations?

I primarily chose to return because I initially had a really great conversation with Martin Hansen. We talked about how Searchmind wanted to make a structural change and shift focus – and it was a development we both agreed I could contribute positively to. On top of that, I saw a clear opportunity to put my own skills to use, particularly in relation to sales, strategy and the entire commercial field, which truly excites me.

It has absolutely lived up to expectations. Within Searchmind, everyone is extremely receptive to new ideas, input and different ways of doing things. That is enormously appealing to me, and it is an approach that benefits both Searchmind and, in particular, our clients.

What has surprised you most positively in your "first" year back at Searchmind?

What has been the single greatest positive experience ties closely to what I mentioned before: people are just incredibly open-minded about new initiatives and generally have a strong "yes" attitude. On top of that, the office is simply filled with an exceptionally talented group of people. It is a pleasure to be in a place where people can truly deliver such impressive and solid results for the clients we work with.

AI, YouTube and advice for the rest of 2026

So much is happening in Digital Marketing and AI: what is the most exciting thing you have your eye on right now?

Everything related to AI is obviously interesting right now. My focus, however, is particularly on where AI can make processes faster, more efficient and ultimately deliver better results for our clients. Looking at the more channel-specific side, I find everything happening around YouTube at the moment incredibly exciting – especially the new rollouts coming from that direction right now.

What is your single best piece of advice for companies looking for better performance for the rest of 2026?

My best advice is to maintain a great openness to the new initiatives your agency brings to the table. In my view, an agency's finest task is of course to deliver performance and great results – but it is equally about helping the business cut through all the noise in the market right now. The agency should keep its nose to the grindstone on the client's core business and then, with the utmost precision, contribute new alternatives and faster, more efficient ways of working.

Thank you for the first year, Mathiesen!

Thank you for the first year and for your tremendous effort every single day. It has been a pleasure to welcome you "home" and see your strong commercial drive in action from day one.

You have a sharp eye for digital potential and a wealth of strategic knowledge.

We are incredibly excited for the many fantastic years ahead together on the Searchmind journey!
