Objective

When switching to a new webshop, there is always a risk that organic visibility will decline. SCO Cykler did not simply want to maintain their strong rankings, but also to seize the opportunity to strengthen both technical SEO and the digital user experience.

Previously, many categories had been left with few internal links, and the technical structure made it difficult for search engines to understand and prioritise the content.

Solution

The collaboration between the new webshop and SEO

SCO Cykler is one of Denmark's oldest bicycle brands, with roots dating back to 1905. Today, the brand is part of Salling Group and is sold in stores including Bilka and Føtex. In May 2025, SCO launched a new webshop with the goal of achieving a seamless SEO transition and a stronger foundation for growth. By combining web development and SEO, a modern, user-friendly and search engine optimised webshop was created from day one.

The collaboration with SCO Cykler and the work of Alexander Achenza (Senior SEO Specialist at Searchmind) has been a strong example of how web development and SEO can go hand in hand. Our focus has been on ensuring a seamless transition to the new webshop, while at the same time creating a solid technical foundation for organic growth.
