Since the premiere in 2022, Searchmind and MCH A/S have worked closely together to make Gamebox Festival Denmark's largest gaming event. In 2026, the 5-year collaboration culminated in an impressive milestone: 32,506 tickets sold – a fourfold increase in attendance since the festival's first year.

The partnership: 5 years of uninterrupted growth

MCH A/S has created a unique gathering point for gaming culture with Gamebox Festival. As MCH's dedicated digital agency throughout all five years, Searchmind's task has been to ensure the festival reached new heights each year. The partnership has been defined by a remarkable growth journey, breaking previous sales records year after year: from 8,600 visitors in 2022 to over 32,500 in 2026.

Our focus is a coherent digital journey that captures both hardcore gamers and families with children. As an integrated part of MCH's marketing team, we act quickly on trends and ensure messages land with maximum impact. For the 2026 edition, the goal was clear: accelerate ticket sales through an even sharper and more agile use of digital channels.

The Approach: Data-Driven Audience Matching and Strategic Agility

To fill the halls at MCH, Searchmind implemented a full-channel strategy that transformed the festival programme into targeted communication across Google, YouTube and Meta.

Strategic focus areas:

  • Targeted programme matching: We matched the festival's programme with the right audiences. By testing ad formats, we ensured maximum engagement – from visual storytelling on Meta to purchase intent on Google.

  • Real-time budget optimisation: We continuously monitored performance and proactively shifted budget to the most effective channels. This agility was crucial for achieving a high ROI and the new attendance record.

  • Urgency and FOMO: We leveraged the audience's Fear Of Missing Out. Using the programme as a catalyst, we created a sense of urgency that converted interest into ticket sales as the festival approached.

  • Searchmind as an active partner: As a sponsor, we were physically present on site. Insights from our five-year history and presence were translated into advertising that ensured a qualified influx of guests.

With 32,506 tickets sold, Gamebox Festival set a new record and cemented its status as Denmark's largest gaming event. This is the result of a strong product from MCH and a targeted effort from Searchmind, which succeeded in activating the target audience across the entire country
