Dansk Erhverv has published the Top 20 shortlist for E-handelsprisen 2026, with 20 companies in each category advancing in the competition. The list also serves as a strong snapshot of what is shaping Danish e-commerce right now: performance and scaling, but also customer experience, brand and relationships.
E-handelsprisen is awarded by Dansk Erhverv and aims to celebrate companies that set the standard for digital commerce in Denmark. The award covers a broad range of categories – from B2C and B2B to export, community and e-commerce tools. Special award of the year: Best community
What do the nominations say about Danish e-commerce in 2026?
When companies can be nominated across B2C, export, growth and community, it points to some clear trends in the market:
The categories reflect a more mature industry
E-commerce is no longer judged solely on volume and campaigns, but increasingly on the full picture: user experience, business model, brand and operations. The fact that the field is divided by revenue and includes special awards such as community shows that the disciplines within e-commerce have become more specialised.
Export is a clear competitive parameter
The fact that both DILLING and Rains are nominated in the export category underlines that internationalisation and digital scaling are central to many ambitious e-commerce companies. It is not just about being able to sell in multiple markets, but about doing so consistently and efficiently.
Community and relationships matter more
bareen's nomination for Best community supports the idea that the relationship with the target audience is a competitive strength in its own right. Where customer experience previously often centred on onsite interactions and checkout, it is increasingly also about creating engagement and loyalty beyond the transaction.
The nominations as an industry barometer
The Top 20 shortlist is not just a list for an awards ceremony. It is also an indicator of which competencies are becoming more important in e-commerce: the combination of strong digital foundations, brand strength, customer experience and the ability to scale.
We congratulate all nominees and look forward to following the journey towards the finals and winners.
