Offline marketing

What is offline marketing?

Offline marketing is the direct opposite of online marketing. Offline marketing refers to marketing channels and tactics that do not involve the internet — the sender reaches their audience without going online. Offline marketing is what many people know as "traditional marketing", as it was the only way businesses could market themselves before the internet, which is today the most widely used method.

In general, the use of offline marketing has been declining in recent years for precisely this reason.

Offline marketing examples

Offline marketing channels and tactics include everything that is not online. Below are some classic examples of offline marketing:

  • Flyers and brochures
  • Signs
  • Newspaper advertisements
  • TV commercials
  • Bus advertisements
  • Banners
  • Taxi advertisements
  • Sponsorship
  • Trade fairs

And many more.
